By downloading or using Lyrx, you agree to these terms. Please read them.
Lyrx identifies music playing around you and displays synced lyrics for it, along with optional features like translation, party mode (sharing what's playing with friends), Song Magazine, recording yourself singing along, and an optional account that keeps your listening history across devices. Song recognition and synced lyrics are free for life: we will never put them behind the subscription. They rely on outside services (Apple's Shazam recognition and third-party lyric sources), so we show them for as long as those services provide them. Some additional features are part of an optional subscription, Lyrx Premium (see below).
Lyrx Premium is an optional auto-renewing yearly subscription that unlocks extra features: translation, lyric share cards, recording yourself, CarPlay and lock-screen card, party mode, cast to TV, fortune cards and Song Magazine. It includes a 7-day free trial, and the price is shown in the app before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account, renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and can be managed or cancelled in your account settings of the store. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules.
Lyrics are not sold. We do not sell lyrics and are not responsible for them. Lyrx shows lyrics as they arrive from third-party sources: a song may have them or may not. What you pay for is the other features above. Following synced lyrics stays free for life: we will never put it behind the subscription, and it works for as long as the outside sources provide them.
If you choose a party display name or username, share a recording, or otherwise submit content through Lyrx, you're responsible for it. Don't share content you don't have the right to share, or that's unlawful, harassing, or infringing. Lyric links created with earlier versions of the app are public to anyone who has the link.
Song identification depends on Apple's Shazam catalog and may occasionally misidentify a song or fail to recognize it. Lyrics come from third-party databases (like LRCLIB), and translations and Song Magazine texts are generated automatically, so they may contain errors, be incomplete, or be missing. Lyrx doesn't guarantee the accuracy or availability of any recognition result, lyric, translation or fact.
Lyrx relies on third-party services to work, including Apple (ShazamKit), LRCLIB, MusicBrainz, DeepSeek and Google. Your use of those services through Lyrx is also subject to their own terms, which Lyrx doesn't control. Our Privacy Policy explains what data they receive.
Lyrx is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that song/lyric results will always be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lyrx and its developer aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
We may update these terms or the app's features over time. For important changes we'll tell you in the app. Continued use of Lyrx after a change means you accept the updated terms.
We may suspend or restrict access to Lyrx's shared features (like party mode) or to an account for anyone who violates these terms. You can stop using Lyrx and delete your account at any time.
